Privacy policy

Rocket Crew is a game in which every player has a rocket and a launch base, shares their link to get visits and invites other players. This page explains what data is stored when you play and what for.

What data we store

  • About your account: email, username (it is the public link to your base), rocket name and, if you log in with a password, a hash of it. The password is never stored in plain text.
  • If you log in with Google: the identifier of your Google account and its verified email. We do not receive your Google password.
  • About the game: the level of your parts and of your base, your coins, your works, your workers and the players you referred by invitation.
  • About the visits to a rocket: to count one visit per person and day we store an encrypted fingerprint of the visitor’s IP, not the IP itself.
  • About the connections you play from: that same encrypted fingerprint of your IP, linked to your account, for two days at most, so that your own visits to your rocket do not count.
  • About your session: a session identifier (stored encrypted on the server) and the approximate name of the browser or device.
  • About the emails: how many emails have been requested for an address, from which IP fingerprint and when, only for the last day, to prevent abuse.
  • About rewarded ads: when you have watched one, to respect the daily limit.
  • About your language: the language you play in, to write your emails and notifications in it.

What we use it for

  • Giving you an account and making the game work.
  • Sending you the verification, password recovery and email change emails.
  • Preventing fraud and abuse (fake visits, mass emailing, login attempts).
  • Showing rewarded ads, if you choose to watch them, and measuring their use.

Who else is involved

  • Amazon Web Services hosts the game and its database (Ireland region) and sends the emails through Amazon SES.
  • Google, if you log in with your Google account, and for the Google AdSense ads, which may use their own cookies and identifiers. See the cookie policy.

We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

The data of your account, for as long as you keep it. The records of sent emails, one day. If you want us to delete your account and your data, ask and we will.
